Bombs

Cracked walls, secret shops, and one very famous fuse timer — bombs have been the series' answer to 'that wall looks suspicious' since the beginning.

  1. The Legend of ZeldaDownfall Timeline

Sold by the original 'It's a secret to everybody' shopkeeper; blast cracked cave walls to find hidden rooms.

  2. A Link to the PastDownfall Timeline

Bomb shops and a growable Bomb Bag turn wall-cracking into a running side habit.

  3. Ocarina of TimeShared Trunk (Before the Split)

The Bomb Bag is Dodongo's Cavern's reward; remote-detonated Bombchus arrive as a bettable minigame prize.

  4. Majora's MaskChild Timeline

Bombchus return, and the towering Powder Keg shows up for blockages ordinary bombs can't touch.

  5. Twilight PrincessChild Timeline

A Goron-run bomb trade supplies the Bomb Bag, and Bomb Arrows fuse this thread with the bow thread into one shot.

  6. Breath of the WildDistant Future (BOTW / TOTK)

Reimagined as a Sheikah Slate rune: unlimited round or square bombs, remote-detonated, no fuse timer at all.

  7. Tears of the KingdomDistant Future (BOTW / TOTK)

The Bomb rune is gone entirely — Fuse a Bomb Flower to an arrow or weapon instead, a deliberate, much-discussed removal.
